The BQE from my studio window yesterday.






Unidentified river somewhere in the western part of the United States. This image makes me think of Bill Callahan’s song “Drover” from his beautiful “Apocalypse” album.
During one of many cross-country trips (I think I was headed east this time). I noticed movement through my window, grabbed my camera and caught a shot of this jet as it had just crossed paths with the one I was in. It seemed dangerously close but in reality it’s quite far away.






From a hiking trip in the Catskills this weekend.
They are so cheerful, optimistic, patriotic and, if you’re in the U.S., everywhere you look. I don’t have any stats to back this up but I suspect no nation uses their national flag in such abundance and with such joy and pride as the people of the United States.
